1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using OOW Prep (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Your Account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering.
• You may delete your account at any time from the app settings, which permanently removes all associated data.

3. Subscription & Payment

We offer the following paid subscription plans on the website (billed via Stripe):

• Monthly Plan — £9.99 per month, billed monthly. You may cancel at any time and will retain access until the end of the current billing period.
• 6-Month Plan — £49.99 billed every six months. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Subscription billing is handled by Stripe; we never store your card details. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
• Share, sell, or transfer your account or subscription to another person.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its underlying systems.
• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell any content from the question bank, AI examiner responses, or study materials without our written permission.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including the question bank, explanations, AI examiner interactions, study materials, design, and branding — is owned by OOW Prep and protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the content solely for your personal exam preparation. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is an educational study aid and does not guarantee that you will pass any examination. While we strive to keep questions and explanations accurate and up to date, we make no warranties that the content is error-free, complete, or current. Maritime regulations and MCA syllabus requirements may change, and you are responsible for verifying any information against official sources.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OOW Prep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where possible.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
